The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) contributes to the 2023 Joint Call for Proposals of Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Thematic Areas of Circular Economy (including agriculture and food security, not including water-related projects) and Clean, Accessible, and Secure Energy Supply.

Research output refers to the RIIM Collaboration Guidelines and Joint Call Text of the South East Asia -Europe Joint Funding Scheme for Research and Innovation Rules.

Funding:
Funding can in general be applied for:

Consumables
Purchase/procurement of chemicals/consumables such as raw materials or production components
Personnel Costs
Honorarium for field workers;
Travel and Subsistence
Domestic travel, directly related to the research activities;

Mobility of Indonesian and foreign researchers and experts
Mobility of Indonesian and foreign researchers and experts refers to the BRIN researcher mobility scheme (post-doctoral and/or visiting researcher).

The Researcher Mobility Scheme is restricted to BRIN researchers only.
For Indonesian researchers who will use the Researcher Mobility Scheme, they must engage the BRIN research group.

Equipment

Indonesian grant can not be used for equipment

Proposals must be written in English, using the JFS template, and include all supporting documents. All documents must be completed and original. The Indonesian applicants (as project coordinator or as a team member of consortium / principal investigator) must submit the completed proposals to the Directorate of Research and Innovation Funding (BRIN) through email at dana-risnov@brin.go.id (subject: CFP8-JFS-Topik-Name of PC-PC Institution).
Deadline : April 9, 2024 / 05:00 pm Jakarta time

In parallel, the Project Coordinator of Consortium must submit the proposal electronically to the JFS System through the PT-Outline Web at https://ptoutline.eu/app/JFS23STI
Deadline : April 15, 2024 / 05:00 pm Jakarta time

Research proposals must be submitted by Indonesian (based in Indonesia):

Research institutions (BRIN)
University researchers
Business entity or community organization in Indonesia

This call will fund collaborations between SEA-EU JFS and Indonesia-based researchers working on Relevance to the 8th JFS Call 2023.

Indonesian applicants must be eligible to apply for funding to support the 8th JFS Call 2023.

The Principal Investigator (PI) for the Indonesian team is an Indonesian citizen, a BRIN or other researcher (university or other research institution in Indonesia, either from a business entity or a community organization), with a doctoral degree and experience conducting research with international partners.
A team member could only participate in a maximum of two proposals (one as Principal Investigator and one as a member, or both as a member);
The PI and members of the research team have relevant experience and expertise to the proposed research, as evidenced by a track record (portfolio) of research activities.
