Petunjuk Penggunaan

This stage focuses on exploring and strengthening research collaboration between Indonesia and Japan in technological areas that contribute to net-zero emissions. Priority will be given to adopting joint research with Japan aimed at a medium- to long-term joint research projects that have the potential for significant impact.

The research themes for Stage B are flexible, as long as align with the overall goal of achieving net-zero emissions.

Applicants may propose research activities under the following categories:

Existing Joint Research and Projects: Proposals that build upon or further develop current or past research collaborations between Indonesian and Japanese institutions in relevant technology fields.
Potential Collaborative Opportunities: Proposals that explore new opportunities for research collaboration between Indonesian and Japanese institutions (universities, research institutes, or companies).

Joint Research Development:

Proposals aimed at forming a collaborative research project involving BRIN (with or without an Indonesian company) and a Japanese partner (university, research institute, or company), with the goal of submitting an application to the NEDO support scheme.

Applicant

The scheme is open to BRIN researchers from all research organizations and their respective research centers.
The Principal Investigator (PI) submitting proposal to BRIN must hold at least a Master degree (S2) with active enrollment in a Doctoral degree (S3) program, with a relevant academic and research track record.
The research team may include members from other research institutions such asuniversities,businessentities,orindependentinstitutions,withclearly defined roles and responsibilities.
All team members must demonstrate relevant experience, supported by a research portfolio. A team member may participate in up to three proposals (as a PI in one proposal and a member in another, or as a member in three proposals).

Proposal Requirements

The proposed research must align with the designed themes and subtopics outlined in the call (Please note that proposals involving nuclear-related topics will not be accepted).
The research plan must be feasible within the allocated timeframe.
Proposals must be submitted in English using the provided template.
Proposals must be formally signed by the authorized official of the institution.
Proposals must include a detailed budget using the prescribed format, following cost standards under Minister of Finance and BRIN regulations, including applicable taxes.
Curriculum vitae of the PI and all team members must be included using the provided format.
All required documents must be complete, original, and submitted on time.
Proposals should involve a joint collaboration between BRIN or an Indonesian company and a Japanese university, research institute, or company, with the goal of applying for support under the NEDO scheme.
While it is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged that BRIN researchers collaborate with an Indonesian company in the proposed project to enhance the scope and impact of the research.
BRIN researchers who collaborate with foreign researchers must ensure: Research Ethics Clearance, and Foreign Researcher Permit for the foreign researchers done through the Research Ethical Clearance information system https://klirensetik.brin.go.id/
